Septic Installation
Plant City FL Septic Installation - Complete New House
Though Liberty Plumbing and Septic repairs and installs septic systems for every kind of house and business, we have developed a good working relationship with Palm Harbor Plant City, Plant City Housing, and Plant City Discount . These manufactured housing companies (selling what some people mistakenly call “mobile homes”) need to have “on call” a septic contractor they and their customers can trust.
If the customer is buying a home and putting it on a completely virgin property, Liberty Plumbing and Septic may be contacted to pull the permit, meet the customer, do the soil evaluation, do the scale drawing of the proposed drain field, and give the customer an accurate estimate of the overall septic system cost. Though the homeowner can work with the health department directly on some of these steps, Liberty Plumbing and Septic streamlines this process and ensures that the job is done efficiently and well from start to finish.

Liberty’s Jerry Prescott is one of only about 80 Master Septic Contractors in the state, which means he is one of the few who is credentialed to do new soil evaluations for septic systems, and if you are installing a new house septic system (or completely replacing a much older one), that’s a test the law requires. Why does your soil need to be tested? Well, since the septic tank just holds the solid waste, the drain field is the real workhorse of the septic system. As the effluent continually pours off the septic tank into the drain field, it has to be able to drain quickly enough so that the drain field can breathe and avoid a thick biomat (which also plugs up your septic system). How quickly your drain field drains depends mainly on the type of soil in that part of your yard—what mixture of clay, silt, and sand. A completely sand drain field can be dug smaller because the relatively small particles in sand allow for fast draining, but the small particles in clay make drainage more difficult, requiring a larger drain field (and maybe some help). The state maps its soil types, but a soil test for your specific home lot is essential to make sure your system will work properly.
Our friends in Plant City know how important it is to get a good estimate for new mobile and manufactured homes’ septic systems. We can tell them how big of a tank they will need for their home, how big a drain field they will need for their soil, and (maybe most important) whether they will need to build a mound and buy a sump pump to keep their drain field the regulation distance from the water table. All of these factors can impact the cost, and we believe the homeowner needs to know what it will take to put in a functional septic system.
If you’re looking at a site build or manufactured home from Plant City (or elsewhere in Polk), give us a call. We’ll help you get an accurate estimate in a reasonable time, and we can help you get the job done right.
